Is Burnt Hair Perfume Good?

The world’s richest man, Elon Musk, is following in the footsteps of countless celebrities by launching his own perfume — and the scent’s already a hit, despite its rather disgusting name: “Burnt Hair.”

Created by Musk’s Boring Company, “Burnt Hair” — which the Tesla founder declared “the finest fragrance on Earth” — costs $100 a bottle, ships in early 2023 and is billed as “the essence of repugnant desire.”

“Just like leaning over a candle at the dinner table, but without all the hard work,” The Boring Company’s website promises.

That description didn’t keep shoppers away, however; early Wednesday, Musk, 51, tweeted that he’d sold 10,000 bottles of the stuff.
